We’ve recently switched from Happy Hoof molasses free to Honeychop Lite and Healthy, as one of my horses is allergic to wheat. The Honeychop looks and smells lovely, yet he is refusing to eat it. This is a horse that I recently caught eating urine soaked straw pellets and would eat his own leg if given half the chance. It’s flipping frustrating! Any ideas on how to make it more palatable? I have to get meds into him hence the need for a small bucket feed.

If it's just to get meds in then I'd buy a bag of cheap pony nuts, soak them in warm water and add the meds to that. For the handful you need they won't add a significant amount of calories etc to his diet.

If you have room to increase sugars and starches a little maybe try Honeychop Topline and Shine or another in their range? The Lite & Healthy is very voluminous, topline and shine has some oil and little pony nut type things in it which seem more interesting for fussy ones!
