Where can I find a lycra hood WITHOUT the face??!!! I am very nervous about using one with a face as I have seen some horrible things when they have gone over the horses eyes etc... I would just like to find one with Lycra to keep plaits in place etc....ideas???

just get a cheap one and cut it off just below the ears. i agree... they're very dangerous. i used a full-face one years ago, turned horse out, watched him canter off and have a good roll... and stand up with the totally twisted so his eyes were completely covered. thank god he waited calmly, listening to my voice, as i went to rescue him. doesn't bear thinking about.
maybe you could make your own from stretchy material and a zip along the bottom, or velcro fastening.
