Hoof abcess how long to heal?

We are on week 3, first week very lame, it is at bottom of hoof vet burst it and now still poulticing it daily... stuff still coming out, and now coronet band seems very puffy and soft compared to usual with a White ish spot so I'm thinking it's possibly going to erupt there too.. Would just like to hear others experiences of abcess's and how long they took to go. My boy is no longer lame.. But I won't be riding until it has gone..

4 months with my pony last winter, very deep abscess that was hard to clear, his feet are so hard that it would not go up to the coronet so all had to work its way down. If you think it is going up encourage it to by putting the whole foot into hot salt water as that may help it move more quickly (I did this but it still wouldnt go up to the top).
As yours is no longer lame you are probably over the worst.
