Is it possible to get some advice without being bombarded with 15 pages on the evils of shoeing and how badly my pony is fed? Sorry to sound facetious but sometimes these threads develop without the original question being answered.
My pony is shod at the front for most of the year and occasionally at the back. My farrier likes him to spend some time without shoes on so they were removed two weeks ago. When I drove him out at the weekend, he was feeling his feet slightly. However when I walked him out yesterday he was fine so I assume it is the additional weight of the carriage that was causing the slight footiness.
Can anyone recommend hoof boots for carriage horses? He is a Section A and has small feet even for his size.

I drive my pony in Epics which work fine. The only problem I have is that it is very hilly and when going downhill with the trap he wears the hind toes through on the boots so we always manage to have open toed hind boots. Oddly enough once the toes are worn a bit they don't seem to wear down any further at a faster than usual rate.

Both my horses (not driving horses) have Cavallo Simple hoof boots. They are nice and easy to put on once you get the hang of it and my mare has hers nearly 3 years now and they are still perfectly usable with plenty of tread left. We often hack out in them for several hours.

The only time we've slipped in them is on mud any horse/ human would have slipped in and on long wet grass. :) I love them and wouldn't be without them now.

the above is a link to the epics which would also be my choice. I suspect your problem will probably be the size depending on how small your feet are. At the bottom of the link is a sizing chart for the epics. If you measure your feet it will give you an idea if they would be any good. If you don't know how to measure there will be details somewhere on that site showing where to take the measurements. Let me know if you can't find it and need a link. I am sure there will also be a video showing you how to put them on. They are very quick and easy.

Although this is a US site the boots are easily available in the UK through several outlets.
