Depends on the size/shape of his foot. You need to measure him after a fresh trim. Look on here:

This will give you an idea on the boots and their sizing.
Cavallo's are pretty good boots for the price too. ( google them )
You can buy a lot of them off ebay, or second hand ones sometimes come up on the barefoot fourm here:
