hoof boots with studs for x country

xc was actually what made me put shoes back on my mare after i'd had her barefoot for a year..... couldn't find a suitable alternative once i started to need more grip...
sorry - not much help - but i did look at alternatives and went bak to shoes and studs

did you look into these boots?

I've a 4yr old that has never been shod and i would like to event eventually. He has no issues at all about being barefoot and so really want to keep him barefoot. He is off in the new year for 6 weeks schooling with and eventer is happy to see how he goes barefoot but thought it might be a good idea to get a pair of these just incase.

The Easyboot Grip (like the epic but with a huge tread) would work similar to studs. Have a look at the Easycare website.

You can also buy studs from easycare to go into any boot - you just drill a little hole in the sole. They're only a couple of quid each.

Renagade also do 'ice' boots with studs on the bottom - they could probably do a grass stud version if you asked them.
