I need foot boots for a shire!

if my measurements are correct he is 200mm

any recommendations?

with us living on a small island its not like i can just pop some where to see some, i have to have them shipped to me

so any one know of brands that go that big, and recommendations would be so so welcomed!

cavallo make BFB boots (largest = 182-189) but they don't go large enough (though bigger than others) and I don't think any of the others get anywhere close.

the epics size 7 are probably going to be the largest.

For the most part even if you didn't live on a small island you wouldn't be able to pop in and see many of the makes of hoof boots. It is a case of buying them and returning.

The epics are a good boot. I think the first thing to do is to be sure of your measurements. What are the length and width measurements? do you have pics with the ruler on the underside of the hoof to be sure the measurements are correct?

Did you measure just after a trim?
Try mailing photos of the hooves with a measure in place for length/width to Hoof Bootique or Urban Horse and see what they suggest
Some of the boot makers do kits to hire/try on before committing yourself to buying

Boa boots seem to go up to 200mm.
I have the next size down (I think) and used them on my cob, although they were too big really. But she went well in them and were secure.

The Saddlery Shop, The Hoof Boutique and Urban Horse. All great shops that offer fitting advice and a try-before-you-buy rental service. Google them and call for advice.

I only know of Cavallo BFB. They’re okay but I had some problems and they’re going to have to be replaced after 3 months. It was hard riding though. If anyone knows of another brand about the same size let me know too.
