Due to lockdown and not being able to use arenas or go places, I have been doing a lot of road work. The roads haven't gone well with the freezing weather and are very gravelly and one of my horses is starting to feel it. She looks for verges on the way out but she is storms back home without bothering. She has been barefoot for 7 months and was fine until recently so I would prefer not to reshoe yet.
I'm thinking about getting some boots for her to help till normal life resumes. I tried a friends scoot boots today but more expensive than I was expecting so I wondered what other options there are and what people would recomend ?
She was a 7 in scoot boot.

I think the low profile/'sports' boots are preferable for their better breakover, there are some newer ones about but that was scoot/renegade/easyboot glove/backcountry etc.
fit is everything
Frankly they're a bargain compared to shoeing, at 4 years old my easyboot gloves went to my ex-trimmer to go in her van for someone else who needed them.

If you balance the cost of the boots verses the cost of regular shoeing, what works out as better value for money?
