HOOF BRANDING. (ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET SOME MADE?)

I am thinking of hoof branding, but the companies that make them are very expensive. Does anyone know of a blacksmith or metal worker who can make them (a postcode) at a more reasonable price?

why not freezemark???hoofbranding has to be done every 6-9mnths which will work out costly..freezemark is for life

I am waiting on Freezemark to come out, but on another forum I posted on, losts of people had hoof branding and I must admit i am a bit uncomfortable putting one of my more sensitive horses through being freezemarked, she doesn't even like being sprayed with fly spray and hoof branding is painless.

Might be a tad uncomfortable for her but it is for life

,branding hooves....hmmm,if that horse worth anything store it 6months and she is gone

,few mins of uncomfort...means it branded in her hair

,i would sedate her just for peice of mind,hell of a lot cheaper and thieves will take non branded 1st

Crikey, they ARE expensive - when Freezemarking is only £40 ish.

BUt I guess if you are using them to mark several horses, it is actually a cheaper (although not permenant) option.

Yes expensive, thats why i thought perhaps a metal worker, might be able to make them cheaper. Anyone know of any?
