Hoof bruise

Around two months ago my horse devolped a hoof bruise on his back left foot (Ivory hoof) It was pinky red with a dark greyish rim, I was small and didn't seem to be causing any pain but it is twice as big now and doesn't seem to be going away(still isnt bothering him) should I be alarmed?

Can you post a pic ...helps to see location/size etc.

It’s good he’s sound on it, on the wall if caused by walking into stony mud it should grow out fine, but its curious you mention it getting bigger.
Hoof wall imbalances can cause laminae tearing which shows up as red patches on the hoof wall. If the imbalance gets worse the area would increase in size.
What does your farrier say...have you asked them, have they seen it?
