My yearling colt is an such a pain when it comes to picking up his back legs. With his front legs he's brilliant but as soon as i go to pick up his back feet he will strike out straight away!
So i now have gone back to just running my hands down his back legs and not lifting them up. I've done this for two weeks and he's now find with this but i now don't know how to pick up his feet without him stressing out.
I've never seen a horse stress out so much over picking up his back feet. If you manage to pick them up he will continually kick out and will refuse to stop.
Does anyone know of anything I can do, or has had experience of this before?
Thanks in advance
