Hoof moist ...?

this probaly sounds stupid but how do u use hoof moist...?
-we are having a big debate at my yard on where it goes..? i always put it on the hoof wall and on the base to stop cracks and other people either put it on the hoof wall or around the cornet band...? which one is right ... ? :S

I put it around the coronet band, thats what my farrier told me anyway.

After soaking the hoof, I brush it all over the hoof and on the frog.

I put it all over the hoof? dont see a point in just condioning one part of the hoof?

I brush it onto the whole hoof wall covering the coronet band to aid healty hoof growth.

realistically the only bit that matters is the top third of the hoof as this is the live part of the foot. The rest doesnt matter and it wont make much of a difference.
I only put treatments of the the coronary band and just below then if necessary on the frog.

yes but the bottom part of the foot is dead? what is the point in conditioning something that is going to be chopped off by your farrier or trimmer at their next trim?waste of money

When you are using a pastry brush and have loads of Hoof Moist on it, might as well eh?

The whole hoof, we have no shoes to get in the way

Plus it's black so it makes it look pretty. I suppose the only imnportant bit is the corronet band, and disenfecting the frogs, but black feet are aesthetically pleasing.
