...any recommendations?

Looking for something which looks smart for shows but also helps with dry hooves as the dry weather is starting to cause problems

I would say that water is the best thing for dry hooves! however Effol green hoof ointment is quite moisturising and also looks smart and shiny for shows. It can also be used every day.

I don't think you will get something to do both jobs, you want something nice and shiny for showing, which means it will have oil or grease in it, this will however stop the hoof from breathing and not let in any moisture, so for this you need a water based treatment like Kerotex (sp?) or something that allows the hoof to breath.

I really like Kevin Bacons for both jobs - hoof care and looking shiny.

Also as it's clear coloured as opposed to dark like hoof oil when my boy brushes his hoof against a white leg there is no black mark.

Kevin Bacon and Effol are about the best you can get for conditioning etc

I use Kevin Bacon daily and have a tub of black Effol in my eventing kit for at events. Not really as black and shiny as proper hoof oil so you may want to look for something different to get that 'show appearance'

If your horses hooves are dry, try not to use oil unless just occassionally for a show......it really does dry the hooves out much more.

For every day, I recommend the Keratex moisturiser - my boy lasted a whole summer last year without losing a shoe due to dry crumbly feet, and pretty sure it was the Keratex that did it.

best one I have found for my TB is Worlds best hoof oil from Spire House products. His feet are much tougher and stronger and they actually grow now. not ultra shiny for shows but stays put all day.
