Which part of the foot is peeling? If it's the frog that's normal and nothing to worry about, unless it's accompanied by something else e.g. untreated thrush.

What breed is the horse? In Connemaras there is a genetic defect which causes hoof peeling. If not Connemara, can you post a photo?

Hi,
No,it's the front of the hoof on all 4 feet. Farrier does not seem to worried, just told me to stop using hoof oil(Kevin bacon) which I have not used for 3 weeks now,but still no change. She is on farriers formula.

At the front only sounds like seedy toe. You can Google it. Basically, it needs cutting open to get the air in, as it is caused by anaerobic bugs/fungus rotting the white line. Your farrier should know that, if that's what it is.

Do they look like these? These are just dry hooves, few weeks of mud and they will go smooth again.
