Hoof pick for sale - £280.00. Bargain!

OMG I lose hoof picks about once a week so no! Whats it made of - bl**dy platinum? They could at least put a bit of bling on for that price.

I might consider a saddle (;)) if I could actually see a full photo of the damn thing! Am I just doing something wrong or do they have the most irritating pictures ever?

Truthfully if they did a bridle I really liked, and I had the money I may consider one!

I don't do designer clothes for myself..... My horses get designer gear instead!

Pretty sure my chap would still regard the hoofpick as something to be chucked as far as possible. I am thinking of entering him into shot putt/discus type events...

Not if I had a million...no ten million pounds in the bank would I pay those over inflated prices just because it had a brand name on it.

Hermes was a Famous French Saddler, we use a method of jumping stitches across a turn on a bridlework called a Hermes Turn after him, it's a good quality hand stitching method, most bridles today use a Walsall turn, so I expect that's why everything is so expensive, steeped in tradition and history despite most of the stuff now on there is machined!

I agree but can i ask are they a well known brand? I haven't heard of them before. May be I haven't heard of them because they are out of my price range lol

Hermes is incredibly super posh :)

When I was a child my mother used to take me to the Hermes boutique where she bought her silk scarves. I would sneak off and touch (fondle LOL!!) the saddles and bridles on the other side of the shop. I don't think I realised their value at that point but I could tell they were better than any tack my ponies had haha

... I'll take that hoofpick ...
with this brush!

Just realised its a storage bucket! It doesn't even have a function. I would love to know if they have actually sold any of these.

Picking myself off the floor!

Well, without looking at their website let's have the guesses on how much is this numnah/saddle cloth?

Hamptons
All-purpose saddle pad in 100% cotton quilted fabric, lined in microfibre, "Hermès Sellier" Clou de Selle badge, Thalassa Blue colour, one size only

Wow!! the only thing on that site I can actually afford is the saddle soap and I am sorry but converting that to roughly $70-$80 AUD, I can think of about 100 things I would rather spend my money on!
I can't believe people actually pay that much for things that you can get for so much cheaper...

It's a site for the fur coat nee knickers brigade! Some sugar daddy will buy it for them along with the horse that someone else in a very posh livery stable willbe exercising. And no....I'm not jealous, just have far to much common sense to be pay prices like that when there are other quality makes about for better prices.

Well obviously I googled! OMG and WTF.

Have you seen the brush? My dog would run off with it and chew the handle.

I am still haunted by the Hermes winged saddle:

I think the breeches and jacket are the most suprising, they both look rubbish, in comparison with a nice Pikeur combo or something.
That's what I was thinking, their stuff really isn't that nice which makes it all the more funny. Jokes on whoever has bought this stuff really. They will be walking around in a naff bomber jacket that looks like its from Primark but they will be safe in the knowledge it cost £1600...

OMG! Thanks for posting the link mil1212. Th £280.00 hoof pick has gone up then, from a mere £175.00. Now that's inflation for you!!!
