Hoof picking?

I was gob smacked yesterday when someone on my yard was showing a new owner how to groom their horse, after a brush she asked "what about his feet" the reply was " they don't need doing unless you're going out" This wasn't even corrected by the YO! have I missed some sort of new way of doing things as I'm always doing my horses and seem to be the only one on the yard who does them after schooling and hacking also!

tbh im more shocked at someone buying a horse and they dont even know how to groom it!!!! lots of people are lazing about picking out, some are fanaticle - more to keep the yard tidy than as foot care itself. I think theres a happy medium, before riding, after riding, after briging in from field, at least once a day.
