My boy had his back shoes removed on 10th July. Started off well but is now footy on stones, improving slightly but it's causing me concern. The pics I'm posting are comparisons from around 2/3 weeks ago (left photo) to tonight (right photo)
What changes do you see? I think his heels are higher?
I see slight thrush still round his frog- is that enough to cause footiness? I've been treating with diluted 6%hydrogen peroxide
He's out 24/7 and I've just started him on pro hoof by progressive earth- feeding with a tiny bit of ss purabeet- when he eats it!!gr!
He's in moderate work mostly in the school ATM because our hacking requires walking down a longish lane which is super stony
Any comments / cc/ recommendations on these feet are more than welcome!

First trim due tomo!

They look like they've grown a decent amount anyway! I'm not sure about the thrush and footiness, though I imagine it would probably be enough to cause some sensitivity. I would continue with the cleaning and hopefully you'll get on top of it soon!

They are definitely improving. :)

Sort the thrush and think about getting boots just for the stony lane, so you can go hacking. Tarmac is brilliant for conditioning Bf hooves (start with short hacks though and build up slowly).

Mine gets fed spearmint to mask the pro balance, without it I think he woul definitely refuse his dinner! The bag I bought from pro earth has lasted absolutely ages, 5 months at least I only use the smallest amount to get him to eat it!

Again, mine has been footy with hot feet. I thought it was just maybe the hard ground and the fact I'd run out of pro balance. I think those things didn't help, hut for mine it was during a period when the grass went bananas too, and I think he got a touch of lami, and had an abscess in one hoof :( he wre a muzzle for a month (can't get near him with it now!) which seems to have dramatically improved him. I'm hoping I can get through the September flush and into winter with no more is dues. Could any of that be a factor for you too?

Thanks!
Yes the grass def could be an issue and he's out 24/7. He had his first trim yesterday and seems btr today?!! His feet look great all tidied up and his soles weren't touched! Will have to look into the hoof boots
Y would his heels be getting higher?

Can't see the pics on my iPad for some reason but thrush can definitely make them footy so I would keep treating that...perhaps try something different if your current regime isn't working. I've had great results with Artimud.
As for the heels, perhaps they look longer because They are flush with the ground and working now instead of slightly under run ?
