Hoof ridge

Just after some thoughts really. Toff has a ridge on her near fore hoof, it's about half a cm from the top of her wall and is only on that hoof. What would cause this? Her diet etc hasn't changed and she hasn't had any significant trauma etc. She was kicked on her chest bone/point on shoulder on that side last week which created a huge swelling (haematoma) but has now gone down and she wasn't lame in that time (still isn't!). Would the swelling from that cause it?
Farrier is due on 18th Sept but wondered if it was something to be overly concerned about

Is it right around the hoof, as in growing down?
If so, it would be from something longer than a week ago.

Yes, I can't think of anything that happened in the amount of time it would take to get to that point!

it can be any change to their diet . eg all the rain weve had, different hay supplier - different part of the field etc.

As long as it's nothing to worry about. Just odd that it's only one hoof?
Nothing has changed feed wise, same paddock, new batch of hay only came last week so not long enough for that and she gets through feed so slowly, that hasn't changed to a new bag for ages and ages!
