I bought a fantastic 3 year old Warmblood x TB and have noticed that he has rings around all four feet that have now grown down by about an inch. They are symmetrical, so doubt its laminitis. He came from a home where he lived out and was only checked on at the weeekends!! So I am guessing that it is probably diet/ stress related, can anyone confirm or advise please

probably signifes a change of diet-my boy developed them when he was shipped over, all grown out and fine now

It could indicate a change in diet or he might have had something wrong with him that put his body under stress. My mare has them from when she got mastitis last year and was on heavy antibiotics and medication. I had a horse on livery who got them after he suffered photosensitivity. They were quite deep ridges though, the change in diet ones aren't normally that prominent unless it was a drastic change.
