Been having a look on the internet and see that some sites suggest that hoofboots can help ponies/horses that have/have had laminitis and wondering whether anyone has had any experience with them? Can you put them with shoes to give added protection? Would they be suitable for a pony that does a lot of trotting?

Our 18 year old driving pony has been diagnosed with mild laminitis - we have had shoes taken off and has frog supports on and is on box rest. Farrier has said that pony has very flat feet and thin soles (said they are more like what you would expect on a thoroughbred).

Thanks
