I'm always looking for new material to read to keep me up to date, the more I know the better I can look after the neds right?

Could anybody suggest some good texts for learning about horsey ailments and hoofcare?

(Preferably the ones that vets and farriers are supposed to use as I have a good scientific background and can cope with the level)

I have a book called Equine Medical Disorders by A M Johnston which is really good for giving clinical signs / treatments etc for loads of diseases. Its quite old though (I got it at a car boot!) so not sure if it is still being published.

Other than that, the main equine textbooks I use are Equine Surgery, and Saunders Equine Formulary, howevere these are probably not that relevant for day to day care and common ailments.
