I was speaking to a lady at the yard and said her eventer has arthitis and she uses Magnetic Boot in the winter too keep his leg warm and less stiff
i was wondered if anyone else as tryed these Magnetic Hock Boot
as i was thinking they would nice for the cold winter nights?
they are like £50 so are they worth it?

thanks :)

My 31 year old welsh x TB wears them overnight in the stable, they do seem to help her :) Make sure you get ones with good velcro fastenings though, Yan does the silly walk when i first put them on and they do occasionally pop off :p

you can get magnetic brushing boots which can be worn for light work only, ie walk hack, or you can get a magnetic band that goes round the coronet band. I don't think IIRC that it has to be on the joint that there is a problem with as the benefits go round the body, does that make sense? I looked into this a lot when Pidge had his hock spavin.

Hello, havnt seen you on here for a while was wondering how things were? :)
Im not sure as i havnt used or had any experience in them, but it could be worth having a look on ebay and seeing if you could fine some second hand ones to see if they help.:)

hey im good riding again 10 days :)
and doing winter dressage instead of jumping as ebs isint the same so give her time off :)
and yeh thats a good idea thanks just what brand? lol xx

Mine were from a company called Equimagnets, on Ebay. They are good as can be used on hocks, knees, and tendons, but i do need to put more velcro on... they sort of stick round and back to themselves, and a fluffy bit sewn on for the rough bit to attach to would make them perfect :)

I would personally go for Bioflow products but a lot of other names do them, I've got a set of NEW brushing boots with magnets in them. You have to be careful when using them and gradually increase the time worn, but they do come with lots of instructions :D

no unfortunately not :D If I wasn't so ensconsed in my chair with laptop on knee I'd go upstairs and have a look for you........ sorry am tired after a hectic weekend. Will look later and post for you?

Ah thats good glad your healing up. :)
Oh bless her, the dreassage will do her good get her strong and supple will help the jumping once shes ready to start again.
Not sure which brand as havnt had much experience but the others have made some good suggestions. xx

I tried a neoprene magnetic back wrap for myself before i bought the boots for Yan - didn't seem to overheat me, and her hocks never seem too warm under them.

I guess this may be a problem if you used them while you were riding the horse, but obviously magnetic therapy is not for use when exercising, so I don't see that it's a problem :)
