We took our grey cob to her first show this weekend - Dressge and hunter trial. Daughter was a bit despopndent after the dressage, several of the markers were 'rearranged' or jumped during the test, canter went very pear shaped. However - when she got her sheet back she had come 2nd!!!!
Nice judge had commented that she could see this was a difficult ride and was very positive. Canters received 3, 4 and 5, but she got 3 7's - woo hoo.
For the hunter trial they did a rustic course, followed by SJ and a short xc (2'6"). She got triple clear along with four others so the winner was decided by style points awarded for the SJ phase and she finished 3rd.
Aside from the result she was superbly well behaved. I almost forgot that it was our first outing with her. Dont you just love uit when things go well
