Hooves - In what order...

I was at my yard recently and we had a mum and daughter come for some driving experience. At the time they arrived, I was picking out one neds hooves. Later the lady said to me that she picks out hooves in a way that most people say is odd. She said that she does Front hoof, back hoof, front hoof back hoof, but most people tend to do front, back, back, front.
Realised that I do it front, back, front, back, too.

So, in what order do the rest of you pick out hooves?

I do front, front, back, back.
My horse will pick up both feet for me to pick out from the same side, and I can do it from either side

Varies! Sometimes front, back, back, front if I am just walking in a circle round the horse. If I am being lazy, front, front, back, back (my horse's are good and let me pick out both feet from the same side).

Same here - front left, front right, back left, back right. The only horses I have trouble with doing that are two at work - one who is a kicker and one who is a bit iffy with his hinds. With both those two I take whichever back leg they offer and don't quibble!
Not found a horse yet that won't pick up from the same side

Interesting responses, thankyou. All of mine always pick up each hoof in preparation too.

I always do NF, NH, OH, OF - my horses get into this routine and pick them up for me now!!!

When I stretch their legs forward (to smooth the skin under the girth) I always do NF then OF.

I'm odd like that!

I do that with the girth too. But funnily enough I don't know of many other people who do it though - I've always done it

Me too.

I never used to but one mare I had automatically held her feet up like that and trained me to do things her way.
