Last week, I ordered a Shires 120gm stable rug for my 4yr old. Rug arrived and it was a 200gm rug.

Seller has only just responded to my email sent last Thursday stating that if I'm unhappy then I should send the rug back at my cost and they'll refund the cost of the rug.

I have opened a dispute on paypal but should I escalate it to a claim?

Fecking furious - I wouldn't mind if I was wrong but I'm not!!!!

Oh dear, that doesn't sound like them really, I have bought quite a lot of stuff from them and they have always been brilliant...
Maybe point out to them that it actually is their fault for not sending what you paid for?

In that case, maybe raise the dispute to a claim, although I haven't got the foggiest idea how it works...
I have always bought from them directly from their website.

I'd be quite happy if they just arranged for a new rug to be sent and collected the old one at their cost.......

What a shame! That's not like their usual service at all

I bought the same rug direct from their site and got it very quickly, no problem, and just got some ariat boots of their eBay shop within three days.

Hope it all gets sorted out quickly for you

Again, I've always had really good service from them. Have used them several times & great service with quick delivery.
I guess everyone has 'off' days

They will just have got back from Badminton - they had 3 stands there!! It IS their problem though - you ordered one item and they sent the wrong one! They should pay all postage costs as it is their error.
Hope you get it sorted...

Paypal will probably refund you minus postage paid plus you'll have to show proof of returning it so you won't be any better off. PayPal aren't the be all and end all, I'd contact trading standards and see where you stand if you decide to progress with a small claim.
