my pony is getting too small for me, and i am gonna have to face up to the fact that i will have to sell him

but not sure how much and when to sell him?

hes a reg part connemara, 14.2hh, 9 years. he has done pony club eventing and won the area eventing, member of 5th pc champ team at sansaw 2006 and 2nd area dressage. ready to event FEI standard but im too old! has done tetrathlon open, showjumpin 1.10, numerous wins ode and many championships working hunter novice and open. reserve pb connemara native challenge. very sweet natured and safe. loves dogs!! gd to box shoe clip etc.
what do you think?

i got him when he was 6 and brought him on myself from a very green pony to an experienced one!

if he's height certified as not over 14.2(which makes a difference now)
and he's got no vices and is good to shoe box, etc

then I'd go for arounf 4.5k and see what response you get - assuming he goes for a different person apart from yourself and isn't a 'one rider' type of horse that throw his toys out of the pram when anyone else rides him
