Well a 5hour round trip pretty worthwhile

Hoplands is looking so so smart - they have done an absolutely fantastic job

Hattie jumped a pretty good round in the intro, for a clear and 5 XC time pens. We ended up with a style mark of 13 so finished on 18

which put us in 6th place so we qualified for the final

Then in the PN we got a style mark of 11, 5 XC time pens and unfortunately 2 SJ fences down which is really unlike her as she is just so careful - we have a feeling that the long journey there and a hard dressage lesson yesterday just took quite a bit out of her and she wasnt feeling quite herself. Really pleased with her anyway though as we hasnt competed anywhere since October

Not sure whether we'll go to the final as very little point other than to take her to a new venue to see a new place etc. there is no way we would get placed!!

Chestnutmonty - im sure i was warming up with you for both classes! i was in navy and light blue checked colours and rather embaressingly yellow jods!!

I agree it was a long way to go but we have taken Hattie to hoplands before and we knew she should cope with the travelling - it never bothers her and she had a good hour before she had to compete once we'd got there

Well done for qualifying...no mean achievement
smile.gif
As you say, not like her to have a pole (let alone two!) so perhaps they were your quota for the next few months

Are you doing any BSJA at the moment...haven't seen you about recently
smile.gif

Thank you
smile.gif

No i havent been out BSJA since october, dont really know why tbh but i really should go out a bit before march!! Might brave golden cross or sands farm - steering clear of royal leisure while the young stallions calm down a bit!!
