Has anybody got one or tried one? Im looking to buy one, would really like a Patey dressage hat but cannot really afford one! Unless anybody knows of any good alternatives?

I have one but only for inhand showing.
I very much doubt the horka would offer much protection if you were to have an accident! It really is very flimsy.
I think Charles Owen do a beagler for around the £100 mark

I don't think dressage is that much of a "high risk" sport, even though horses can ge unpredictable, so I'd say it will be ok to wear one for dressage, unless you don't have much confidence with the horse or he is young and/or inexperienced. I have seen Horkas on www.dressageonabudget.co.uk
