It seems my mare has come into season.

So looking at hormonal supplements, what do you all use?
Do you see a difference in behavior?

I use hilton herbs easy mare, its hormonal and calmer all in in one. Its does contain valarian so not comp legal. Seems to take the edge off her, can keep her attention better. Not quite so vile, and still rideable even during her first season of the year.
Have used global herbs frisky mare, but found only the frisky mare plus really helped her at all. Also tried magnesium based calmers with little success.
I have heard good things about NAF oestress, different things work for different people it would seem, depends on your horse.

Mine is on mag ox - huge difference, I have since added Agnus castus in amounts slightly less than recommended as she dislikes the taste, she is less sensitive and girthy on that and was hardly bothered when an actual boy horse moved in next door (the 2yo welshie was doing all the flirting and my big mare just stood looking curious but none of the incessant tarting about!).

I don't really go in for formulated supplements, I find out the active ingredient and feed it myself, until there are so many supplements it becomes silly that is!

Have used Hormonise for years and find it works great for my girl. She wouldn't touch her feed with NAF oestress added.
