My retired wb is acting stress, angry, flighty and doesn't want her back feet picked out and her tummy touched.
All signs her bad seasons are coming back, she spent two year, all year round, on regumate to stop them and it did amazingly well. I took her off it as she put on loads of weight and no matter how much I exercised her it did come off. Few month off the regumate and her weight dropped off.

I don't really want to spend another £100 plus on the regumate for her to balloon this side of winter so was wondering if you guys had any suggestions?

Been suggested gold labels ostraban.

Ostress dosent touch her.

Thank you

Sorry, no experience of either but will be following this with interest as I'm starting to wonder whether my mare's recurrent ulcers/ hind gut issues are hormonally triggered. The symptoms you describe re: hind feet , tummy and anxiety are her to a T.

Let us know if you find anything out as I'm dreading the cost of regumate on top of everything else I've had to fund trying to sort this horse out!!

My mate was awful last year - so bad that vet was convinced she had ovarian tumours and, when tests came back negative, suggested regumate. I put her on Herbal Mare from natural horse supplies and saw excellent results. She had a week of being very sensitive and hormonal a couple of weeks ago, I upped her dose and she's back to normal. Im sure it doesn't work for everyone but I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. I honestly wouldn't ever be without it now!

I tried frisky mare and oestress with no results. Used straight agnus castus and the difference was incredible - went from being a complete tart around all other horses and squealing, kicking and swinging her back end to people to not even being able to tell when she was in season and no moody behaviour.

This is one of the main ingredients in Herbal Mare - and some other moody mare supplements. You can buy it straight too. 😊
