Has anyone used Hormonise for mares?
Mare is stressy when hacking alone and always desperate to get home to her stable mates. Sure it is just hormonal as she is in season and squirting at everything.

Yes I have used it on my mare but it didn't have much effect on her. She always used to be very grumpy when in season and terribly flirtatious with the geldings (it was quite shameful really). She is now in foal so not been a problem for some time.

i use this with my tart of an arab mare and it has some effect, she seems happier but she is still a tart!
to be honest i wouldnt want something to have such a powerful effect-i've seen some calmers/stabilisers really ruin a horse and it's personality but this seems quite mild.

Thanks for that - all I want to do for her is make her less anxious and enjoy her work as she is a pain, not listening and has her own agenda which does not include her jockey when she is in season. Thought I would start now at the beginning of the 'season' rather than muddle on and get fed up with her carry on! She has just come back after a year off due to annular ligament surgery and I have spent countless hours of hand walking, walking and trotting to get her to this stage to be met with the hormones. Doesn't nap but very spooky and sharp when she feels like this and I could honestly do without it if at all possible!
