Need HHO vibes asap!!!
Got to the yard this evening to find a friend walking her Horse around the menage as she was showing signs of colic. Vet was on way up. I took over so friend could have a little break. Next thing we know, another Horse goes down in her stable thrashing around. She joins me in menage to walk around. Friend took back over and went to help my other friend, whos Horse was clearly worse and kept trying to go down. Vet arrived and the first Horse turned out to be ok after all, she isn't allowed to eat until tomorrow and was just a little gassy. The second Horse however has not been so lucky. She was taken back to her stable so the vet could check her in the light, Horse then thrashed around and almost squashed her owner and the vet. So back to the menage she went. Vet tubed her and tried to flush her through. But nothing
apart from a lot of blood coming from the nose. Horse is currently on her way to Newmarket although it doesn't look good at all . Vet said strong chance of PTS. Shes a lovely mare, my Horses best friend in fact, we are hacking partners. My heart is breaking for her, she only had her other mare put down last month (she was very old and her arthritis got the better of her) vibes please!!!!! I hope the mare pulls through.
