Ive just been watching a programe on sky called miami animal cops and one of the stories was about a group of men who took a stallion illegal racing the horse fell broke both its front legs so they dragged him into a trailer back to the farm slit his throat then cut him up with a chainsaw...........
It showed you the meat and the chainsaw and stuff and there was 2 mares there as well they rescued now the story itself was bad enough.
But on investigation one of the investigators found a disposable camera and upon development it had the actual photo's taken whilst this cruel act was in place not only had the horse broke both its front legs but it looked as if one of the legs had come off under the knee.
Dont think i need to tell you how upset this has made me i had to run into the kitchen because the footage was so dramatic im very disturbed to see such a cruel act played by part of a human.

We get this programme every night over here. I am pretty sure I have seen the episode you are talking about. Some of the sights are fairly awful.

awful people out there. On the same programme, and ignorant man was going to ride on of his emaciated, undernourished horse in a rodeo that day!
they rescued them in time, and 2 got happy home, one was PTS.

glad to say I havent seen the programme but this sort of thing happens every day here.The famous race in Sienna ends like that for at least one horse and in front of the public and police.The same type of racing( thats pefectly legal ) thats held throughout Italy is carnage. Horses kept in the dark for weeks before and given coke and all sorts of stimulants are brought out on the day of the race and wound up till hysterical(false starts) and then raced on sand covered roads with wicked bends.They do it to donkeys too.These are the "legal" races-the illegal ones are really horrific and mafia run.A good per centage of English born TBs imported here end up in these races.Sick, sick, sick. There was a story around near my area which was sickening

They castrated a stallion in a field with no medical help.. And the horse mysteriously disappeared :s Seriously tho!

Some people dnt deserve horses! Its sick! Another pony around my area I think it was a shetland or something simlar.. a little bay one im sure of dat.. They mistreated it so bad when they found him he was skin and bone other grown hooves curling back on them selves Its recovered now But nobody can get near the poor thing without getting a carrot or something hes so timid and shy its un true i cant belive some people can buy horses and use them and then treat them badly.. Some are just painly sick stories .. Im just so glad they saved the little chap! Hes my friends pony now Shes working really hard with him and it seems to be working.. Just hope they wont do nothing stupid.. because hes a good pony and her daughter loves him to bits and he needs to be brought back into work when hes abit more friendly.

that episode was on really early (6 ish) one morning awhile ago, not nice when youv'e only just got up!! It was horrific and barbaric. I wish we had "animal cops" here that had the same powers as those in the States. They don't pussyfoot around and people that have abused animals are arrested and punished. We don't seem to have that authority in this country and those that are cruel and abusive to animals get off lightly!

You really do get some sickos around- I think it is disgusting that anyone could do such a cruel and horrific thing to a poor innocent animal - this was bad enough but to take photos as well is revolting

In one way im sorry more people than me from the forum have seen the episode for themselves but on another hand im quite glad because to be honest if i was looking at a post like this i would think no surely not can people be that cruel.
The episode was on about tea time-ish so not hardly what you want to see then if im honest ive seen some stuff in my time but it has been at the fate of accidents i had a very long cry last night for the poor horse the stallion had done nothing to deserve such bad treatment.

I watch that all the time! I've seen that episode-they did it in front of the other 2 horses too. Awful!!

Scary to think what goes on that we don't know about over there and in our own country

I saw that episode too, I was absolutely gobsmacked at the sheer lack of consideration and sheer cruelty. At least they got the f**kers
