Well today should have started with a lesson with Lucy Thompson on Spider first thing. It was no suprise after seeing the weather forecast that this was sensibly cancelled last night.
However I still thought I might get Q to Harolds park for dressage. When they said snow I didn't really think it would be as bad as it was. Because I knew time was going to be tight today, I had washed Q's legs & tail, plaited him up & cleaned my tack yesterday, so all I'd have to do was brush & load him when I'd done Spider.
Left home at 8am & it was slightly sleeting, however by the time I'd driven the 5 mins to the yard it was properly snowing.

The snow was really coming down & settling, so I decided to lunge Spider & even with just that the snow was balling in his feet.
I then made the decision, & decided it wasn't worth driving for 50mins in that weather, to try to warm up outside even though the tests were indoors, so I put my sparkling clean & plaited pony in the field. He must be the smarted pony out today

So not the day I'd planned. My mum had originally wanted to do Easter lunch today, but I said I couldn't due to dressage, so we're doing that tomorrow. Plus there are no shops open, so I will have to do jobs around the house that I always put off due to lack of time instead!

Ditto, had dressage planned but couldn’t go because of the snow. Was gutted as it was Badger’s first dressage, Mum was doing the W/T and I was doing the prelim. I HATE this weather, you get yourself all prepared and then you can’t go, arrrrrrrr!

It was snowing hard at ours this morning, but lovely and sunny at Hunters, in Cirencester, so quite glad i went out.

Twigs said it was heavy down in Essex. Most bizarre weather.
