Horrid Weekend- Iron Hook in his knee - Ermintrude has GOT to GO!!!

Very long story short, my horse has a few loading problems so I got my EDT (doubles as natural horseman ) out for a second time to practice the loading again. He has been going on their for food every morning and evening but can get very stubborn.... Saturday, he walked backwards out the lorry and off the side/pushing through the gates- the hook for closing the ramp went straight up into his knee!!!

9 staples/10 days box rest etc etc.

My Horseman is stumped, we dont know what to do next... I, quite frankly, feel like giving up. - All i want is to have some fun with my horse and this is far from it.

He will load much happier onto a side loading smaller box so I guess this is the way forward for us so my beloved first lorry Ermintrude has to go

I feel like curling up with my pussys and sobbing onto their fur HELP!!!

In the end, if he is happier going onto a side loading box, then you have got to go with it. After all, who's happiness are we doing all this for? So, I think maybe Ermintrude needs a good farewell party!!!!

And think yourself lucky you have a fluffy pussy to soak up your tears!!!

ah, I feel your pain I really do, if I had the money I would offer Ermintrude a good home but I am sure she will find one anyway, Onward and upward as they say!

i had exactly the same issue - although Chico didnt go so far as impaling himself, just cut 3 of his legs!

I had to sell my lovely first box that i had completely renovated and made really nice.

Ended up getting a bank loan to afford a second hand renault master coachbuilt lorry and i am happy to report that i had a fantastic hack in the park last Friday
