A pony ridden by a novice girl bolted from a side road on to the A259 and was killed today . RIP Archie

Poor driver lady very upset but unhurt absolutly nothing she couldve done

That is just tragic. Ok thank god, rider ok and driver unharmed. Well physically anyway, bet her head is in bits. But once again poor horse. Another life ended too soon. Hope it didn't suffer

Yes I would like to know that to.The A259 is a very long road which goes from Folkestone,Kent right through to Eastbourne in East Sussex; I think.I used to keep my horses on the A259 as well and had to ride along it to get to the beach or any decent hacking.I am now in a lovely countryside place with quiet roads and miles of off road riding and consider myself very lucky.Hearing this sad story makes me realise how lucky I am to not have to negotiate that road anymore.

It goes even further than that

At least as far as Bognor Regis...maybe further

Very sad though

Goes MUCH further, all the way down to Emsworth/Havant - it's the old A27 on this part of West Sussex/Hants
