What a fecking div stupid idiot ignorant moronic wicked woman!!!

I honestly can't see what she was trying to achieve.

I suppose the one saving grace for the horse was that it was in a halter so she wasn't gobbing it all the time.

Ugh, video's like this make me want to track the people down and give them a taste of their own medicine!
 
I've only just joined... so was not aware of the other post... sorry for bringing old news. I was so shocked that I felt I had to post it everywhere I could think of.
 
Talk about call yourself a horse person!!!!!!How bout we stick a halter round her neck and make her run around in circles and throttle her in the face and see how she likes it!!!!God talk about spit your dummy out someone needs to put this toddler back in her pram!!!
 
Poor horse! I would be concerned if my horse didn't want to look at what was going on around her with all the other horses in the background, and I certainly wouldn't whack her around the face to get her attention!

The most traumatic thing for me - is that this poor animal only had one eye... surely that is animal abuse of the worst kind - if my horse only had one eye - i would wear a bell ! not a huge thing but a small bell - to give the poor animal a chance to listen to where i was on his blind side... I would also spend a lot of time- leading, getting him to let me be his eyes - not taumenting the poor poor creature. Its bad enough to hit a horse when it can see where the "blows" are coming from but to hit an animal that is blind is sick, is cruel and she should be proesecuted - come on WHW - BHS - TAKE THIS ONE ON AND STOP THIS ABUSE!
 
having read the other post, I think she is trying to get respect and get the horse to listen to her by 'playing' various 'games'...

I found the video very disturbing. The most disturbing part is that this is on their dvd so readily available to total novices who are then told to go replicate this technique on their own horses as this is how you get them to listen. It would be like giving somebody a book on horses and saying right go out and ride one now.... very very dangerous.

from what I read on another board, the owner was trying to get the horse to back up by waggling the rope (you can see this on the full length version of the session on the DVD) but he's not having much luck, so Mrs P steps in and has a go and that's where the clip starts.

Supposedly the horse is barging her and not respecting her space and she's trying to teach it to behave itself and not hoon around.

But then if the horse only has one eye no wonder it's moving erratically!
 
I have a one eyed youngster, I have to teach him everything from his sighted eye first - with voice commands - then when he 'gets' it I can do the same on his blind side. To get him to back up you stand ahead of him but slightly to his sighted side - then treat him like a sighted horse. he struggled to understand lunging on his blind side - but after one lesson he got it. He is calm, quiet and relaxed. I have to let him look round to see and because he has just the one eye he does movehis head round -but thats the only way to see him.

That horse is not barging her, and is doing exactly what she is asking which is to move round in an agitated manner - it really is no wonder the parelli trained horses I have to deal with are the most enormous pains - they have been taught to be totally confused. They don't lead well, they ahve no respect for humans and they are scared of leadropes, and have poll pain - oh yes they can touch a carrot stick and put a foot on a ball!!! Stupid stupid woman.
