whats the funniest thing you've read in an ad?

i had to laugh at an ad for a young pony, the photo showed a small dot in the distance, and the ad read ' totally unspoilt, as we cant catch him'...
(from which i can only imagine that if they could have caught him theyd have ruined him

)

"with paces that would knock the heads of daisies"

Ummmm, isn't a "daisy cutter" a horse that bearly picks its feet up and hence will stumble lots - yet they were saying it like it was a good thing

not so funny was travelling to the other end of the country to see a young horse which when i saw it has the absolute worse scarring/wire injury to a leg that i have EVER seen, one leg the size of a, well very big leg

, and they called it a BLEMISH!

I travelled up to scotland to see a horse that had been described as 'quality Irish, would show at County level'. No mention of the capped hocks the size of grapefruits then.......

saw a nice one once, was feeling over its legs and keeping an eye on the owner, who was getting twitchy, just as i found a lump she, 'oops forgot to tell me, he's got a spavin...'

i looked at one - easy to do. I went to take its rug off, and it tried to bite and kick me. the owner assured me it wasn't a problem. needless to say, the rug stayed on.

went to see an irish horse, that had good thick legs i was told, travelled 50 miles to see something that resembled a whippet.

went to see a 'family horse' which was capable of killing your whole family within no time at all.

went to see a 15.2 cob which turned out to be a 16.2 eventer...
