has anyone done this or know anything about it?

i'd like to do something like this with my pony but can't seem to find any info about it or where it's held locally, Somerset area.

I did this as my youngsters first outing as it was so relaxed. I am in East Anglia tho so can't help with where to do it! I like it as it gives you a goal for your in hand work and discipline without aimlessly wandering aorund. It encourages spook proofing and i think its great for horses that either can't be ridden or need more in hand work.

We did:
A weave / bending poles
Z- bend - negotiating poles without touching them, or you
A small jump
A bridge
A gate - horse must stand and wait whilst you open it wide and walk through, then he must follow through and turn when you ask him to and stand whilst you close
A narrow corridor (covered in tinsel and decorations in our case!) Horse must stand and wait at one end whilst you walk through, then must walk through quietly when asked
In hand brisk trot, followed by slow walk, halt 10 secs and fast walk
Rein back between pole corridor without touching them
Stand and wait (horse stands inside a marked area, you walk away and leave him for 10 seconds, then return to him, without him moving at all)
A curtain - like ones you get at the butchers, they have to walk through the fabric strips without rushing or stopping (novices can have a look but not refuse to go, advanced have to stop half way through with strips dangling over their backs) This was the obstacle that caused most problems
Pick up feet, within a marked area, one front and one back foot without horse moving around.

For all of them you have to maintain the same leading position without the horse pulling or pushing you...good manners basically!
