I am wanting to put a fan in the horse area of my box but have not a clue as to what type of fan is usually used - or where they are bought.

Will want something that can be wired to run when engine is running but must be able to switch off separately for when not required

Can anyone help please ???? :)

umm i will be of very little help, but we have 2 little circular ones in the roof of our horse area.
one thing i will say is make sure they're quiet enough, some horses completley freak out when they're turned on as ours do make a bit of a 'taking off' sound!!

like extractor fans you use in bathrooms?? or like the ones you would put on your desk that go from side to side??

Thanks for taking time to respond

I have just fitted one . wired in to the leisure battery and switched from the cab. I wired it to blow air in rather than extract. I secured and sealed it to the roof with a structural adhesive ,sikothane 221. Not particularly noisy and quite effective. Total job would be about £275 including labour for one fan and about 150 for each additional fan.
