Copied from a post on a FB group I am a member of. Anyone in the area should be vigilant.
"Sorry if this isn't allowed. Tonight my horse has been brutally attacked by 3 vile scrotes and has had to be put to sleep due to the extent of the attack. She was in a field opposite the Cross Keys pub (nr M1 jct 37 Birdwell/Hoyland) roundabout. The creatures that did it attacked her right at the side of the gate which is on the main road. If anyone saw or knows who did it please let me know. My poor horse did not deserve this."
Apparently the horse was 'cow tipped' which caused her to slip and roll down a hill causing the injuries. I know the road, field and passed the place twice a day on my daily commute. It's a busy road; someone must have seen something, so sad for all involved and tragic loss of a beautiful mare.
