I'm trying to trace some history on my current mare. I know the dealer I bought her from goes to an auction near London every Wednesday but I don't know which one. I was just hoping that they may have recorded the sale information but have read on here that not many do.

I know the information is abit vague, sorry! Any information would be appreciated!

the only auction I know of weekly near London was Southall Market but I believe this was closed down a few years ago by animal welfare orgs - but I could be wrong ...

Southall Market wasnt closed by animal welfare organisations - the guys that ran it retired & so the market closed.

The Langley market in Slough took over it just after it closed - its held every Wednesday like Southall was & is just a dismal place for those that dare to go in it! I used to live just up the road from it. It used to be a haunt of JG.

My current YO thinks it was Southall which confused me as I thought it closed too. To be honest I expected to hear that the conditions there would be poor.

Is there a website? i.e. does it share the same name of the current owners or it is still refered to as Southall? I can only seem to find the Fraser Valley one.

Very much doubt there would be a website - the sale is all done behind closed doors & I doubt what goes on behind the mound they have put up is legal!
Southall closed about 5 years ago FYI. I bought my boy from Southall just before it closed down.
