which horse bedding do you prefer to use, and if you use rubber matting do you have to use straw or sawdust as well? or just the rubber matting? thank you

Iv Tried both straw and shavings and it really does depend on the horse, my mare was clean on both but my gelding is so dirty on straw and then any clean straw left he would eat so i would always go for shavings and i have rubber mats just the front of the stable x
