I am after a book on learning about youngsters mannerisms (?sp) and youngsters behaviour and how to deal with them i.e. training etc... Not particulaly involving training to ride them or anything as i wont be doing that with Inky but was interested in learning why youngsters do the things they do!!!

Can anyone recommend any good books?

"From foal to full grown" is a good book.

TBH alot of it is just sitting and watching them, and learning their personalities. Trying to see things from their point of view (ie a brush on the leg is un natural, it could be a snake in the wild), and mainly common sense. having confidence in yourself that you won't over face them, and building a relationship with them so they trust you not to let them come to harm. If you feel confident and can approach things in a calm way, then they will know that and respect you alot more for it.

Ha LOL!! I'd love to learn how to approach things in a calm way when the little bu**er is hanging off my elbows!!
Just thought it would be nice to know i was doing the right things to make him from one of these
