Well im counting down the days untill my horse can come off her 3 months post op box rest.

She can go out from the 1st week of oct but i need some input with reguards to boots to turn out in.

She has an arthroscopy on her fetlock where massive cartledge trauma was found. Its been tidied up and she has had drugs and had just started walking inhand ( ascending for 6 weeks ) then she is on paddock rest for 3 months.

I had been turning her out in stretch and flex wraps ( the ones that support the fetlock/suspensory ligaments ). I need to buy her a pair of boots that give maximum fetlock support that arent fabric that can get waterlogged and slip on wetter days during the winter.

Id prefur them to be breathable but dont think i will get a pair of breathable and water proof.

They need to give the support of a competition boot.

Ive seen some eskadron ones made from neoprolene that give excellent support but want to know if anyone has any other suggestions?

thanks

sports medicine boots. they have a strap that goes diagonally around the fetlock. they're fabric though, and do hold water, but don't get totally waterlogged.
tbh if the vet's happy for her to be out, s/he must be sure the fetlocks will withstand her weight etc, no?
if you want to try smb's, i have a couple of pairs in good condition to sell. PM me if interested.
