Hi all
I'm looking at buying an f reg Renault commando dodge and wondered if anyone has any experience of these ? Good or bad? Can you easily buy parts? Are they good lorries etc. It's an f reg, 5 gear diesel, only 45k on the clock. I don't have a huge budget so sadly can't afford something newer.
Any info greatly received.
Many thanks :)

I had one similar age. Good strong workhorse, great engine. I only sold it because I wanted more living space to compete away overnight.

Unless it's been a horsebox all its life there's a good chance it's been round the clock at that mileage. Even as a horsebox that's an impossibly low mileage unless it was parked up most of its life. I'd take no notice of it unless they can prove it.

I asked my local lorry fitter and breakers yard this question, and the answer was to stay away. I think parts are hard to source/expensive.

Very tough, very basic, slow as a snail.

45K? Not a chance.

Finding parts will be the issue....

PS Renault per se are much under-rated. i have a Midlum and it's excellent.
