horse box hire help please !!

Hi all Hopefully someone can help.
I broke my leg on Sunday and surgeon said I should expect to be out of the saddle for 6 months. I have arranged for pony to go to pro yard but not sure what to do with my lorry. If I advertise it for hire/lease do I have to arrange special insurance or just put the name of the person leasing it on the policy what other legal requirements are there also where is best place to advertise it ?(I am Cheshire) Is there a market for hiring lorries or would I be better to sell it ? Don't remember seeing any for hire in H&H ! Thanks for any help
 
What kind of box is it??? I am looking for a box but could possibly hire for a period of time from you until I find my own but not sure how it works to make sure we are both "covered" from any accidents/insurance blah blah.......
 
Hi - what size horse box is yours, would it fit a 16.3hh?, also would you be interested in loaning it out for the 6mths rather than selling it. I ask as I am deserate for some transport for my horse but can not afford a box or a towing car.

I am in West Yorkshire - do you think other people would loan out their boxes?
 
HI, the lorry is a 2001 Daf LF 45/150 it was newly coachbuilt last year for me !! It takes 3 horses has cctv, hob, microwave, toilet / shower etc luton bed, external tack locker and storage lockers all round nice spray job etc
I have full breakdown for it including horse recovery but not sure if that covers a 'friend' using it.

With such a special lorry, built for you, I would not part with it, or risk it being damaged for the sake of six months.

Your insurnace, even if or for any driver, would be invalidated if anyone paid you to use it.

If you sold it, you'd need to order another one now to be reasy in six months time, and sure it would cost more than you would get for selling it.
