Do you use one on a regular basis and what one if any and do you think it makes a diffrence? I am thinking of putting my mare on one as she tends to get stressed in her paddock.

I had my mare on Naf magic which didn't seem to work then I tried Blue Chip Liquid calmer - there was a slight difference but not much. I then tried Nupafeed and I saw a big change, I kept her on this for about 9months but I found it very expensive so I ordered some Magnesium (Heavy). 1 desert spoon goes in her feed and it lasts 90 days and only £11.99

I thought it was because she had geldings either side of her so l have moved her near her friend she is better but can still be a bit stressed there is not much grass but l do put out hay for her. She is used to being in a herd but had to move yards as she was kicked several times last time she was lame for 6 months as she had an injury to her splint bone.
So l think it is a mixture of things really but l am looking for a field which she is going to share with her friend but it is very hard to find.

It sounds like she has had a few changes to her routine - In a herd then moved to be kept on individual t/o is bound to affect her behaviour. How long has she been on individual t/o?:)

I used to put my old mare on Steady Up when she came into season because she was a nightmare. Fly bucking around the school stopped after 8 days!

Now I use a Nupafeed magnesium based calmer and it's fantastic. You can buy it in syringe form for instant stress relief or liquid for long term use. It is expensive but, having tried others, I think it's well worth paying the extra. You get what you pay for after all!

It`s been 3 months and l am really trying to find a field as l know the individual turnout is not for her but l can`t put her back in a herd so she can share a field with her friend and l hope she will settle down again.
