just need some advice please. i had my pony clipped this winter and he was ok about it. i've just finished him off this morning as the clippers broke when the girl was doing him. and i'm quite confident to do him myself now i know he's ok about it. anyway, as he wasnt that hairy and it was only a small area, i managed to use a pair of human/pet clippers. but there is no way they would have gone through his coat for the first clip. now, i have two pairs of Andis AGC dog clippers coz i'm a dog groomer and i was wondering, rather than paying out for a set of horse clippers, if these would be powerful enough to use if i buy a horse blade for them. also, they are soooooo much quieter than horse clippers.
does anyone else use andis agc on their horse??? i've been looking at the power differences between dog and horse clippers and there is a fair difference. my clippers have a speed of up to 3300 spm and the andis horse clippers go from 3300 to 4800 spm. he doesnt grow a massive thick coat,so wouldnt need a a mega machine!!
