Hehe no...I'm not superstitious myself, I have just heard it said and wondered if anyone else had! I am just trying to find out any superstitions or preconceptions of horse colour from horsey and non horsey people for an anthrozoology study :)

As in one of john wayne films,
1 white foot buy him,
2 white feet try him,
3 white feet on the sly,
4 white feet passing by.

love the saying but dont believe any of it or unlucky things, life is what you make it, same with your animals its the way they are treated and brought up not colours ect.

A good coloured is hard to beat
:)

Why's that? Are they more likely to fight back or do they run away too quick when you get the beating-stick out? :p :D :D

When I was looking, the only colour I wanted to avoid was grey due to the grooming thing - I did almost buy one, but thank god he failed the vet! Ended up with a beautiful bay with almost no white on him - he has a spot on one of his heels, and about 4 white hairs where he's trying to grow a star.
